I know some or many of you want to help and I thought it would be a good idea to list a few organizations that do their best in aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. From what I know, transportation overall is very limited; therefore, sending food, clothing or necessities will have a low chance of reaching its destination and is not recommended. An effective and most practical way is to donate. Here are a few organizations to consider (in no particular order): Red Cross, International Rescue Committee, AmeriCares, Oxfam America, World Vision, and last but not least, Catholic Relief Services. Please check to be sure the organization of choice meets the BBB’s charity standards. We urge you to pitch in and donate within your means and thank you very much for tuning in, NY, UXA.
